The Dusty Roads of History
The Dusty Roads of History is the story of my three month journey from Rome to Istanbul along Roman roads through Italy, Albania, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey. Along the way I visited the Holy Mountain of Mount Athos and the battlefields of Gallipoli in the centenary year of the World War One invasions.
The book is an exploration of the potential for modern travel to be a pilgrimage into one's personal and family history as well as the wider world events that shaped them
The book is published by Lulu press and can be purchased as a paperback here.
It can also be purchased as an e-book here. The paperback costs £10 and the e-book £5.
All proceeds will be donated to St Joseph's Hospice.
