Chapter 3: Saint-Quentin to Bar-sur-Aube 286km
Monday 7 April to Monday 21 April

Remember gentlemen, it's not just France we are fighting for, it's Champagne!
Winston Churchill, 1918

I left the battlefields and snow behind me and walked on to get to Reims where I was captivated by the beauty of the great cathedral. The route followed Roman roads through rural France where I met much kindness from strangers. Eventually I reached the bustling town of Bar-sur-Aube where my blisters recovered and I had time to reflect on my search for meaning in life.
